There are 251 stable primordial nuclides and 35 radioactive primordial nuclides, but only 80 primordial stable elements—hydrogen through lead, atomic numbers 1 to 82, except for technetium (43) and promethium (61)—and three radioactive primordial elements—bismuth (83), thorium (90), and uranium (92). If plutonium (94) turns out to be primordial (specifically, the long-lived isotope 244Pu), then it would be a fourth radioactive primordial, though practically speaking it would still be more convenient to produce synthetically. Bismuth's half-life is so long that it is often classed with the 80 stable elements instead, since its radioactivity is not a cause for concern. ==== Differential ==== A differential backup saves only the data that has changed since the last full backup. This means a maximum of two backups from the repository are used to restore the data. However, as time from the last full backup (and thus the accumulated changes in data) increases, so does the time to perform the differential backup. Restoring an entire system requires starting from the most recent full backup and then applying just the last differential backup. A differential backup copies files that have been created or changed since the last full backup, regardless of whether any other differential backups have been made since, whereas an incremental backup copies files that have been created or changed since the most recent backup of any type (full or incremental). Changes in files may be detected through a more recent date/time of last modification file attribute, and/or changes in file size. It has been over 100 years since Alois Alzheimer first presented the world disease to the world in 1906. There is evidence for the efficacy of intranasal delivery to treat Alzheimer's. Intranasal delivery of insulin showed greater memory improvement in patients with Alzheimer's than in healthy individuals. Increased microglial activation inflammation are characteristics of Alzheimer's. Animal studies show intranasal administration of pro-resolving lipid mediators decreased both factors, slowing pathogenesis of this disease. Delivering a novel peptide via intranasal route reduced amyloid beta plaques, a defining trait of Alzheimer's and enhanced cognitive functions. Intranasal delivery of anti-Alzheimer's drug dispersed through hydrogel in rabbits demonstrated higher bioavailability compared to oral tablets. MiR132 is an RNA molecule that regulates neuronal morphology and maintains survival. This molecule is downregulated with Alzheimer's. A study administered PEG-PLA nanoparticles loaded with this miRNA to mice through the nasal route. This novel therapy showed increased expression of miR132 and improved memory function.

The mass of the peptide or protein is the sum of the residue masses plus the mass of water (Monoisotopic mass = 18.01056 Da; average mass = 18.0153 Da). The residue masses are calculated from the tabulated chemical formulas and atomic weights. In mass spectrometry, ions may also include one or more protons (Monoisotopic mass = 1.00728 Da; average mass* = 1.0074 Da). *Protons cannot have an average mass, this confusingly infers to Deuterons as a valid isotope, but they should be a different species (see Hydron (chemistry))

Similarly, a major systematic review and network meta-analysis of medications for the treatment of insomnia published in 2022 found little evidence to inform the use of amitriptyline for insomnia.
