The primary target is the GLP-1 receptor, a class B G protein-coupled receptor expressed on pancreatic beta cells, in the gut, and in several brain regions. === 23 April === Russia claimed to have captured the village of Ocheretyne, Donetsk Oblast, which was attributed to a rotational error by Ukrainian military commanders that left the sector mostly undefended and led to Russian forces advancing by five kilometers. The Ukrainian foreign ministry announced that it would suspend consular services to overseas Ukrainian men who were eligible for military service until 18 May, with the exception of those returning to Ukraine. The SBU arrested a resident of Kharkiv on suspicion of spying for Russia. UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced a new military aid package for Ukraine that included 400 vehicles, 1,600 weapons and four million rounds of ammunition, along with £500 million in funding. The US Senate passed the bill authorising financial aid for Ukraine. The bill must now be signed into law by President Joe Biden.

== Treatment == The goal of glaucoma management for patients with increased intraocular pressure is to decrease the intraocular pressure (IOP), thus slowing the progression of glaucoma and preserving the quality of life for patients, with minimal side-effects. This requires appropriate diagnostic techniques and follow-up examinations, and judicious selection of treatments for the individual patient. Although increased IOP is only one of the major risk factors for glaucoma, lowering it via various pharmaceuticals and/or surgical techniques is currently the mainstay of glaucoma treatment. Vascular flow and neurodegenerative theories of glaucomatous optic neuropathy have prompted studies on various neuroprotective therapeutic strategies, including nutritional compounds, some of which may be regarded by clinicians as safe for use now, while others are on trial. Mental stress is also considered as consequence and cause of vision loss which means that stress management training, autogenic training and other techniques to cope with stress can be helpful.

=== Molecular mimicry === Some infectious agents, like Campylobacter jejuni, bear antigens that resemble, but are not identical to, the body's self-molecules. This phenomenon, known as molecular mimicry, can lead to cross-reactivity, where the immune response to such infections inadvertently results in the production of antibodies that also react with self-antigens. An example of this is Guillain–Barré syndrome, in which antibodies generated in response to a C. jejuni infection also react with the gangliosides in the myelin sheath of peripheral nerve axons.
Methocarbamol without other ingredients is sold under the brand name Robaxin in the U.K., U.S., Canada and South Africa; it is marketed as Lumirelax in France, Ortoton in Germany and many other names worldwide. === Hypersensitivity === Prior to the advent of the "human" lente insulins, the lente insulins (semi-lente, lente, and ultra-lente) were a combination of porcine and bovine insulin products that were filtered and combined with zinc to form the suspension. Even with product filtering, due to the animal origin, the human body might recognize the foreign protein as such and form antibodies against it. These reactions were slightly more likely with lente insulins than insulins derived from a solely porcine source, as bovine insulin was more immunogenic than porcine insulin.

=== PFA-100 === The PFA-100 (Platelet Function Assay — 100) is a system for analysing platelet function in which citrated whole blood is aspirated through a disposable cartridge containing an aperture within a membrane coated with either collagen and epinephrine or collagen and ADP. These agonists induce platelet adhesion, activation and aggregation, leading to rapid occlusion of the aperture and cessation of blood flow termed the closure time (CT). An elevated CT with EPI and collagen can indicate intrinsic defects such as von Willebrand disease, uremia, or circulating platelet inhibitors. A follow-up test involving collagen and ADP is used to indicate if the abnormal CT with collagen and EPI was caused by the effects of acetyl sulfosalicylic acid (aspirin) or medications containing inhibitors. The PFA-100 is highly sensitive to von Willebrand disease, but is only moderately sensitive to defects in platelet function.
